Two high level optical microscopes are in operation.
One of them combines polarized optical microscopy with the possibility of phase contrast, fluorescence microscopy and absorption spectroscopy with extended range of wavelength, from UV-visible to near IR (1500nm).
The second one is devoted to the investigation of single nano-object imaging : imaging is carried out by dark-field optical microscopy. It is coupled to a high-sensitivity spectrometer for recording the scattering spectra or absorption spectra of isolated nano-objects.
