The team has a strong identity based on a shared culture of acoustics and optics. Our aim is to manipulate and interact with matter down to nanometric scales.
To achieve this, we synthesize acoustic waves from tens kHz to a few THz, thanks to acoustic investigation skills and tools covering nearly eight orders of magnitude, which is quite unique in the national and international landscape.
In optics, our expertise focuses on light-matter interaction and fluorescence control, both for natural materials (butterflies, insects, plants, ….) and for photonic nano-objects, such as quantum semiconductor nanocrystals placed in plasmonic nano-antennas.
