The aim of our nanophotonics group is to study the interactions between light and matter at the nanoscale.
We are in particular interested in different aspects of these interactions such as their chiral, quantum and magnetic properties, as well as their characteristics in nature and in living organisms.
To study the light-matter interactions at the nanoscale, our group has developed expertise in techniques involving lifetime measurements, spectroscopy, polarimetry and radiation analysis from macroscopic samples down to the level of the single quantum emitter. Moreover, to manipulate these interactions, we use top-down nanofabrication techniques to create optical nanostructures, also called photonic antennas, able to engineer electromagnetic fields at the nanoscale, allowing full control of the coupling between light and matter.
Our activities involve experiments using near and far field microscopies as well as theoretical and numerical studies.
