We have interest in nanocrystal based sensors, but they generally have a low absorption due to their polycrystalline nature which come at the prize of hopping conduction. To overcome the short carrier diffusion length, we couple the nanocrystal film to light resonator, which role is to generate light trapping and thus finally boost the light absorption.
