Quantum electrodynamics is considered the most tested quantum theory. Nevertheless, some discrepancies remain between experiments and theoretical calculations. In his seminar for non-experts in the field, Vladimir Yerokhin of the Max-Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics will show us the current state of the theory and its tests, in light atoms, such as hydrogen, as well as heavy ones like hydrogen-like uranium.
