Post-doc position available for 2 years starting from mid 2022.
Applicant requirements: PhD in experimental atomic physics. Knowledges in one or several following topics is required: X-ray spectroscopy, ion beam production and preparation, ultra-high vacuum techniques, solid state physics, surface science.
Techniques in use: Low- and high-resolution X-ray spectroscopies, with solid state detectors or crystal Bragg spectrometers. Production, characterization and preparation of highly charged ions beam. Sample surface preparation and characterization by ion-bombardment/annealing cycles and Auger spectroscopy.
Funding: 2 years CNRS contract starting before January 2023.
