The post-doctoral fellow will participate in the development of a project that aims to use the magnetostrictive properties of antiferromagnetic materials to generate spin waves using surface acoustic waves (SAWs). This should lead to a deeper understanding of the coupling between phonon and magnon excitations in magnetoelastic thin films, which will then be exploited as a novel approach to manipulate the antiferromagnetic order.
